207 dunlawton – 7/11 – port orange police unit flagged down regarding a male “stuck in handcuffs” – 1107am, police radio scanner (reminds me of a personal experience. I was a patrolman , working Bethpage State Parkway. I parked on the grass shoulder to observe traffic. Behind me was a row of homes adjoining the parkway. A young man approached me, on foot. Told me he was very embarrassed and was about to call up Nassau county police, when he saw me parked near his home. He and his wife were sex  role playing. His wife was handcuffed to the bed, and now he finds out that the keys to the handcuffed do not work on the handcuffs.  I told him we had to call Nassau County Police which was the department that had the jurisdiction for police related matters on that street. The young man said, ok, but his wife was very embarrassed about this. NCPD came, and later the patrolman  told me everything checked out ok after he was  allowed to see if the woman’s face matched her driver’s license which the husband provided. The woman had a blanket over her head, because she was so embarrassed that a police officer had to come and release her from her sexual bondage role, and she did not want to be seen by  the police officer in her bedroom.   After checking everything out, it so did happen that the NC patrolman’s key unlocked the handcuff. If his did not work, he was going to try using my handcuff  key.  /  added to today’s instance, just now at 7/11, 207 dunlawton ave., was the radio report by port orange unit, that property (attempting to be stolen?) was recovered and “he just wanted the male trespassed”. (I do not know  the complete details about this  incident, but I guess:  maybe the 7/11 employee discovered the male shoplifting, and put handcuffs on him.   I really don’t know. Your guess is as good as mine regarding this Port Orange incident — hank)/  1128am, port orange police unit requests this call to be  changed to “trespasser”. 4  9 17

Deputies were informed that VCSO Air One was following a stolen Volkswagen GTI and entering the District 3S area on CR 415 near the I-4 overpass. Stop Sticks were authorized due to the vehicle previously fleeing from Daytona Beach Police. Deputy Davis responded to CR 415 and SR 44 in order to deploy Stop Sticks. The vehicle continued to Davis’ location, where Stop Sticks were successfully deployed. The vehicle turned west on SR 44, where Deputy James attempted to stop it. He deactivated his emergency equipment after the vehicle failed to yield. The vehicle continued to the area of Sycamore Sunshine Lane, where it came to a stop on the shoulder. D-1 fled on foot and Deputy James gave chase, apprehending him in the wood line.
