I have a cache of timer clocks. The ringer kinds. I like to be reminded while I am engrossed in a good book, that chores are waiting for me in the kitchen. The one made in China never worked for me. Today, I read the little notice on the back of the timer, “Always turn knob past 55, then backed to the desired time”. Why don’t they post that sticker on the front of the timer? What if I had been cooking eggs or something? Thank God the notice was not written in Chinese.
