In my HOA board of directors minutes for May 2017 it is written:
….Two units of 237 units have been sending emails, unsolicited, to email addresses throughout
community. Numerous complaints received as to why HOA gave out email addresses. HOA did
not. The two senders collected email addresses and are sending various “personal” articles. Board
recommends a) send mail to spam and b) blocking sender within their IP…
It is my recollection that this year when the new director of the news letter sent out her first newsletter by e mail to many association members, that the members’ e mail addresses had been sent in the clear, and the option to send the e mail by BCC had not utilized.
For the record, I, Hank Springer have never sent an e mail to multiple association members, except to the HOA board of directors.
