You know what my position has been on this 107CPR issue.
Now I would like to make you aware of the consequences you as a board are reaping in this year of 2017.
It should be that no previous board or its former members have forced you to foreclose on 107CPR. It now has and had become your responsibility not to pursue this matter any longer.
This board is responsible for pushing the son in 107CPR to perhaps the end of his rope. Past decisions by former boards will not relieve you of the mistake you have decided to continue.
There will be no statute of limitation on discussing why this has all come about, and I urge you to ask yourselves if you are prepared to defend your decision to proceed and not be able blame former board members.
You alone will be responsible for evicting a 89 year old man, veteran at that, and his son from his retirement home.
You alone will have to defend that your actions are not based on personalities involved.
Professional news media coverage of this foreclosure will be widespread in my opinion, and will further hurt future resale value in this community.
From some of the things I have heard it had been the board’s intentions to thwart a tendency of 107CPR to sue hoa boards. It is my opinion that you, this board, is laying the ground work for such a happening that many in our community would have liked to avoid.
The man and his probing questions, negative criticism, and sometimes hostile demeanor should have been ignored. That has been and still is my opinion. He has gotten under your skin hasn’t he? Throughout this whole fiasco is the dirty laundry scent of “what has to be covered up?”
The mistakes of previous boards, and this board, are not limited to just the Shaffers’ issues.
The entire deceit about the clubhouse does not start or end with the Shaffers. Nor does the billing mistakes, the loss of financial documents, pitting neighbor against neighbor, and attempts to silence hoa members who voice their opinions. Resentment is not a luxury for any board of deceivers.
The action to foreclose on 107CPR is unethical, morally wrong, financially wrong, embarrassing to the entire community, and ill -founded in logic or reason, except among lawyers who practice in an Alice in Wonderland setting.
It might have been too late for Bill Roberts, Betty S. Linda Pele, Leslie Tucker to reverse course because they had some years ago been committed to silencing by eviction or legal threats anything negative from 107CPR and perhaps someone else in this community.
I would imagine that now, all the arguments for or against, all the logic and illogical are gone by the wayside, and now we deal with the consequences.
You on the board may be carried on the shoulders of ignorant people in this community as heroes, but history will not be kind to you.
When we all are buried and gone, people who have not been suckered into this personality war will be able to judge and remember the consequences of what you have done.
New people who may move into our community will be aware that it is forbidden to cross the board or question the board. That is not good for a community in America.
We should learn by our mistakes, but your learning curve looks like it has ended.
May God have mercy on you good Christian people. Bill Roberts can explain to you why I make the preceding statement.
I intend this e mail to my HOA board to serve as an open letter to the world. First amendment rights are at stake.
A note to Bob Rhein. So sorry that I reach out to the whole world. Deal with it!
The evil that some HOAs contain is exposed by this board of directors.
I don’t remember an open vote at a board meeting to proceed on this disaster. The board works in mysterious ways, does it not?
Sincerely and honestly, Hank Springer – 534pm 7 22 17
