Deputy Patsch responded to 3831 Cardinal Blvd in reference to an armed, occupied, residential burglary that occurred overnight. Contact was made with V-1, who reported he awoke around 0515-hrs, and discovered several drawers were open in his kitchen and bedroom. V-1 quickly determined numerous valuables were missing from the home. The items missing were a Mossberg shotgun, US currency, vehicle keys, a flashlight and two wristwatches from inside the residence. A Chevrolet Corvette and Silverado pickup were stolen from the driveway area.
The Detective’s Unit and Crime Scene responded to the residence and continued the investigation.
The vehicles were entered into NCIC/FCIC and a BOLO was issued to surrounding agencies. The shotgun serial number was not available; therefore entry into NCIC/FCIC was not possible.
The C.O.P. Unit responded and distributed Anti-Theft fliers.
It should be noted that several vehicles were entered at nearby residences overnight. See VCSO 17-21077 for further details.
